Third Element: Earth
My father is a strong man. A confident one. A bold, and straightforward one. One that is tough. If he was an element in the Avatar’s universe, he’d be earth. Bold. But listening. Tough. But kind. Content. Unlike fire that is too easy to strike. He listens. He understands. And the older he gets, the wiser he becomes. Earth never cries. Earth is famous for being stable and promising. That’s why we build most things upon them. Not above air. Not above water. Especially not above fire. But today, my father, the greatest resemblance of earth element to me is crumbling down. He simply becomes an avalanche. He shows that a stable element like earth is able to break down as well. The trigger factor? No more than a humble piece of paper called boarding pass. It’s not a farewell dad. It has never been. We’ll meet when we shall meet. After all, some things are destined to be a home.
